T.E.J.T.M.

Celebration Page

It is June 26, 2009, on the eve of the first printing of my new fiction novel T.E.J.T.M, packed with drama, theater, politics and government intrigue. The reader must decide when does the end justify the means?.

I let out a whoop from our computer office and my wife Kathryn came hurriedly in.
“What’s all the excitement?” she asked.
“This!” I exclaimed, and pointed at the computer screen.
The headline of the article reads “First-Ever U.S. National Peace Academy Launched.”  Here are pictures of a room full of people seated at tables, two young people holding up a flip chart page of notes, a woman with a microphone gesturing, and a row of people standing and looking at a man with a microphone.  Oh, my gosh, it is finally happening for real. Book Lovers

Book Lovers

I spent the evening with forty delightful ladies. On June 30, the Highlands Ranch Library hosted a Book Lovers Evening, where a dozen new books are reviewed for personal interest and possible book club selection. Lisa Casper, Allison Busby, Laura Johnson, and Marsha Craighead are cracker-jack reviewers–concise, outspoken, and well-versed. We all left knowing what our next title choice might be, and why.

Lisa surprised me with an introduction and opportunity to speak–quite an honor for someone who just showed up to observe. I hope some folks there will be interested. I left a copy with Lisa, in appreciation for her hospitality and for the reviewers to read through for possible favorable comment. And I gave a copy to Cari, my new acquaintance, who sat down next to me and welcomed me to the group. I’ll be anxious to get feedback from these new readers.
